The new Shock Transportation Data Logger (MSR175) was launched today (26th June 2018) at the Sensor & Test Measurement Fair Nuremberg Germany adding to MSR’s extensive range of data loggers. Many hours of development and testing went into developing this logger which is aimed at transportation applications allowing the recording of what happens to their goods during transit. This data can then be analysed to ascertain damage or to improve transport packaging.
The standard MSR175 includes two 3-axis acceleration sensors (±15g and 100g) able to record up to 5000 measurements/sec, memory sufficient to store 2 million measurements (i.e.more than 1,000 shocks over several months) and a temperature sensor. A second variant is available with additional humidity, pressure and light sensors.
With the MSR ShockViewer analysis software the data can be readily analysed and graphically presented together with reports.
